I'm not close to being exposed to all the information to formulate a reliable position, but I don't think Israel needs to retaliate against Iran. If anything, this attack by Iran has:
1) Brought Western countries closer together, against Iran.
2) It brought (the more moderate) Arab countries together against Iran.
3) It strengthened the Israeli-USA-UK coalition and showed the world that Iran is much less capable than it proclaims to be, even if it was just a 'warning' shot.
4) It caused minimal damage to Israel, largely due to its exceptional tech-defense systems, skilled combat pilots, and crucial support from its allies.
It doesn't mean Israel would allow this to happen again. There is more than one way to deter an enemy without directly attacking it (which is what I hope would be the response). Despite not having much faith in the current Israeli government, I'm hopeful that they would recognize this too.
